Performance and Engine

The Honda Clarity Plug-In Hybrid is equipped with a 1.5-Liter 4-Cylinder In-Line engine that produces a maximum 103 horsepower and 99 lb-ft torque. Although this may sound unassuming, the gasoline engine is paired to a 181 horsepower electric motor that produces 232 lb/ft of torque. This provides impressive performance. The Honda Clarity Plug-In Hybrid’s battery capacity is 17kWh. This allows for approximately 47 miles of full electric driving. It takes about 2.5 hours to charge the battery fully at 240V, or 12 hours at 120V.

The Honda Clarity has a luxurious interior that comfortably seats 5 people. The interior is centered around an 8-inch Display Audio touchscreen that gives access to the infotainment systems. With Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, the occupants are connected to their vehicle’s 8 speaker audio system. The 7-inch TFT intelligent multiinformation display, which is 7 inches tall, provides crucial information in a glance from the driver’s seat. The soft-touch materials and seamless integration of technology with function make the fit and finish feel luxurious. The Touring and Electric’s leather trim elevates the interior. The interior volume is impressive, with a low-floor that provides more space for the occupants and a trunk that is amongst the largest in the set.

The interior colors available are ivory white and black bio-fiber cloth, paired with a natural-looking trim in a woodgrain. To tie the interior together, the Touring trim features a beige leather paired with a woodgrain trim. The woodgrain finish is available on the Electric trim in grey leather or black leather. Honda has made significant investments in reducing carbon emissions for the Clarity, regardless of trim choice. The Clarity uses a lot of recycled and plant-based materials throughout.
